Facts

Accommodation
Tjuonajokk has fourteen 4-bed cabins, one 6-bed cabin and one 12-bed cabin, all for self -catering. Heating and cooking is with gas. Lights with gas or solar cells. Drinking water from a cold spring. Dry toilets. Fish smoker on campsite and wood-fired sauna on the lakeside.

Fishing season
Summer season: midsummer to middle of September
Spring season: Beginning of March to 5 of May.

Restaurant:
The restaurant is found in the main building, and a variety of foods are served, from the very simple to the three-course gourmet dinners. A choice of drinks from the Wine cellar or crystal water from the spring. Breakfast buffet. There is also a cosy corner for sharing the adventures with others over a beer or a glass of wine.

Fish Species
Grayling: most abundant, average weight 500-700grammes. Although specimens around 2 kilograms are caught every summer. The grayling record is 2.7 kilograms
Brown trout: is abundant in all streams. Specimens over 3 kilograms are caught every summer. The brown trout record is 5.6 kilograms.
Char: is found in the streams of Tjirtjam and in the lakes on the bare mountains above the tree-line. The record char is 2.4 kilograms.
Northern Pike:  occurs very frequently in lower lakes close to Tjuonajokk. Weights around 10 kilograms are not rare. The record pike is 18.2 kilograms.
Perch: is found in abundance in the same lakes as the pike. The record perch is 1.8 kilograms.
White fish: common in slower parts of the river. The record white fish is 2.1 kilograms.

Fishing service
Fishing guides, motor boat and canoe rental. Shop for food, fishing gear, souvenirs etc.
Guided tours with helicopter are usually to streams and lakes with char and brown trout. Fishing gear for rent.
